In this issue we take a look at an old story through a new telescopic lens. Anyone who has seen the film JFK will recall the vivid portrait drawn by actress Sally Kirkland at the beginning of that movie. As the woman dumped out of a car and then, at the hospital, warning the doctors of the upcoming assassination of Kennedy in Dallas, Kirkland’s portrayal of Rose Cheramie managed to rivet the audience with her eerie prognostication. To those who criticized the film as fictionalized, we point out in this issue that the Cheramie story is anything but. The newly declassified record on Cheramie shows that she is a completely credible witness and that her story holds up under the strongest scrutiny. Not only that, but the corroboration of the story, through bar manager Mac Manual actually provides a strong lead, which appears to be independently corroborated by even more intriguing evidence. Again, thanks to the ARRB, this information shows that the JFK case, in a legal sense, is not dead. Three of the many documents referenced in the article are printed in full here for the reader to examine. Lisa Pease supplements the main body of this piece with two more pieces of evidence which show that this lead is one of the strongest we have to put us on the trail of suspects involved in the actual setting up of Oswald and perhaps even the assassination itself.
One of the things we have tried to do with Probe is to expand our audience's awareness of the uses of assassination and state power in other instances in both American and world history. Therefore, we have published pieces on the death of Huey Long and the attempted coup against Franklin Roosevelt. Unlike our competitors in the field, we do not see the JFK case, or even the RFK and MLK cases, in a vacuum. Quite the contrary. In this issue we publish material prepared for one of the very best books on the assassination of the late prime minister of Israel, Yitzhak Rabin. Author Barry Chamish is the Mark Lane of the Rabin case. He was way out in front of the curve on this conspiracy, and has written and lectured tirelessly about the plot and the shameful cover-up going on in Israel about this awful crime. He has come up with some startling evidence of conspiracy that leads to the highest levels of the Israeli intelligence community. And as we noted in out last issue's Notebook, four years after the murder, a new indictment of an intelligence agent has just been handed down. Please note the parallels in the modus operandi in this assassination with the RFK case. Did the conspirators learn from their American comrades?
In other stories, Dr. Gary Aguilar contributes some new information culled from Jeremy Gunn's ARRB investigation of the medical evidence in the JFK case. Gary has been burning the midnight oil on the medical aspects of this case. He contributes our second look at this new evidence, and we have more coming. Gary focuses special attention on what the mainstream media continutes to (deliberately?) miss. Finally Vince Palamara finishes up his work on the appalling failures of the Secret Service in Dallas. We inadvertently left out some of his work in our last number. Thanks for giving us the chance to make it right, Vince.
